Push for Prostate Cancer 2026

My Pushup Progress

My Progress

1,000 pushups

My Target

999 pushups

My blue september is dedicated to my Uni flatmate, old friend, and cancer survivor,, David Johnstone.

I'm doing push-ups this Blue September. Show your support, let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September I've set myself a fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.

Here's the gameplan:

I smash out heaps of push-ups throughout the month to inspire you to dig deep towards life-saving research and support.

Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.

Your support helps provide research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer, along with support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to.

Donate now.

Job done!

Thursday 1st Oct

And there we have it, folks!

I managed to get to my revised goal of over 999 pushups by the end of September - admittedly, with not a lot of time to spare...

Now I just need to get a few more donations to make it more worthwhile. I'd settle for fifty cents per pushup, if a few more of you could spare a few dollars 🙂

Almost done!

Tuesday 29th Sep

As at last night, my total stood at 880.

I just need to smash out 60 today, and another 60 tomorrow, and I'll pass 999!

I would really appreciate a few more donations before this event closes.

A big thank you to my friends'n'relations who have already donated 👍😀👍

Twenty down, ten to go!

Monday 21st Sep

I am, perhaps surprisingly, keeping up with the challenge so far. Twenty days gone, and 520 pushups completed.

I have decided that three short sessions a day is more achievable the trying to push through too many at once. I can now just manage 15 in a set without collapsing! 😀

At this rate, I shall reach my 750 target by the end of this week...

Tackle prostate cancer together.
