This September, I'm taking on the Blue September Push-Up Challenge to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.
As a volunteer firefighter, CrossFitter, and someone who cares deeply about the people in my life, I'm passionate about using my strength for something bigger than myself.
I'm completing this challenge alongside two amazing friends—both nurses—as we put our fitness to work for a cause that affects so many families.
Like many of us, I have uncles, brothers, cousins, friends, colleagues and mates in my life who mean the world to me. Prostate cancer touches thousands of New Zealand families every year, and too often the conversation happens too late. By raising awareness, encouraging men to get checked when they need to, and supporting vital research, we can help change that.
Throughout September, every push-up is a reminder of the strength, resilience and support we want to show the tāne in our lives.
If you're able to, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation—big or small—helps fund life-saving research, improve treatment and diagnosis, and provide support for those affected by prostate cancer.
Thank you for helping us make a difference, one push-up at a time.
