I'm doing push-ups this Blue September. Show your support, let's tackle prostate cancer together
This month myself and the rest of my colleagues ay Havana Coffee Works are getting behind Blue September, raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer - a disease that affects thousands of Kiwi men every year.
To do my bit for the crew, I have set myself a challenge: 73.9 push-ups a day, to represent the 739 men who lose their lives to prostate cancer each year in NZ (I rounded down from 739 - I’m keen for a challenge, but keeping it realistic).
With a week left to go, I've already smashed past my monthly goal to date. So I have set my sites on a new target - to get as close to 4,231 push-ups as possible, representing the number of people expected to be diagnosed this year. My arms are sore, but my spirit remains strong 💪
If you’re able to support the cause, I would greatly appreciate a donation - big or small.
Donations help provide support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to, along with research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer.
