Although I'm not aware of any men in my immediate life who have been affected by prostate cancer, I know all too well the impact cancer can have on a family. We've lost far too many loved ones over the years, including my late Auntie Leigh and my Uncle Murray.
Their memories are a reminder that every family's story with cancer is different, but the pain and loss it leaves behind are something no one should have to face alone.
That's why I'm taking part in Blue September. By raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer, I hope to play a small part in helping more men receive life-saving early detection, better treatment, and the support they need. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring us one step closer to a future where fewer families have to experience the heartbreak that cancer can cause.
Thank you so much for your support—it truly means a lot.
Here's the gameplan:
I smash out heaps of push-ups throughout the month to inspire you to dig deep towards life-saving research and support.
Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.
