This September I've set myself an epic fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates. 

Here's the gameplan: 

I ride a heaps long distance to inspire you to dig deep towards lifesaving education, research and support.

Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ. 

Your support helps provide research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer, along with support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to.

Bikes

Monday 24th Aug

I've got the bikes out and ready to go - the mountainbike, and the road-bike, and also blew the cobwebs off the indoor trainer for wet days.

However, I haven't been out on a bike ride yet!

The Targets

Friday 21st Aug

As well as biking 739kms, I am going to do 739 Press-ups and 739 Sit-ups during the month - I hope!!

I worked out that the distance is the same as biking from Timaru to Invercargill - and back!

However, I also worked out that if I can bike EVERY day it is only 25kms per day.  

The reality is I probably won't be able to do it every day - work, weather etc, so it will be a matter of trying to bike as many days as I can, and go as far as I can after work and before it gets dark.  Looking forward to the challenge.
