Cycling the Length of New Zealand for Prostate Cancer (1600km)

If you know me, you’ll know I have a bad habit of signing up for things that sound like a great idea… right up until I actually have to do them.

This September I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet: cycling the length of New Zealand – 1,600 km in 30 days – to raise money for prostate cancer.

Living in Wellington, where the weather changes its mind every five minutes and daylight disappears before most people finish work, a lot (if not most) of the kilometres will be ridden indoors on Zwift. It’s not quite the scenic ride from Cape Reinga to Slope Point, but unfortunately the Wellington wind doesn’t care about fundraising goals.

I’m expecting sore legs, questionable life choices, and an unhealthy amount of chafing, but it’s nothing compared to what people battling prostate cancer face every day.

If you can spare a few dollars, I’d really appreciate it. Every donation goes towards an incredible cause, and every message of support will help get me through the long rides.

Thanks for backing me—and if you see me voluntarily riding a bike after September, please check that I’m okay. 🚴💙
