This September I've set myself a fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.Â
Here's the gameplan:Â
I will run the 4x4x48 challenge in memory of Steven, a childhood friend who died recently from prostate cancer aged only 45.
I will run 4 miles (approx. 6.5km) every 4 hours starting at 11am on Thursday 17th September - my last leg of the run will finish at Lake Karapiro, just before the first race of the Masters National Rowing Champs.
The total distance will be 78km, which is just over 100 metres for every man who loses his life to prostate cancer in NZ every year.
Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.Â
Your support helps provide research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer, along with support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to.
Donate now.
