Push for Prostate Cancer

I’m doing push-ups this Blue September. Show your support, let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September I've set myself a fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.

Here's the gameplan:

I will smash out 100 push-ups a day with the team’s support! Posting regularly throughout the month to inspire you to dig deep towards life-saving research and support.

Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.

Your support helps provide support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to, along with research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer.

3 down 1 to go

Sunday 21st Sep

Day 21 and going strong?

The last week has been a bit of a plateau, I did reach a new PB of 60 pushups in a row but since that 35 is a strain.

Still 100 a day every day remains easy to complete and may remain a daily habit!

1500 and counting

Tuesday 16th Sep

After 15 days I’ve completed 1500 pushups!! The daily 100 has become so easy I’ve upped my game with various challenges to keep it entertaining.

Day 10

Wednesday 10th Sep

And going strong, yesterday attempted 100 in a row but stalled at 50, completed the 100 on the fourth attempt. Today for something different I broke it up into three sets of 20/30/50 across the day. The current target is 60 in a row on the 14th 🤞

AB vs SA Test

Saturday 6th Sep

This morning I pumped out 100 push ups in anticipation for a big day of rugby support, go the ABs!!! Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be fit enough to get the next 100??

Day five

Friday 5th Sep

My target of 100 per day is feeling achievable, the 5 sets of 20 are easily completed and my only concern is forgetting!! This evening was entertaining with a group session was the kids, I may need to find other ways to keep this challenge entertaining

Day three and four

Thursday 4th Sep

Yesterday started well, first 3 sets on 20 were well staggered then I switched off and had to finish the last 40 just before bed, this morning I decided to bang out the whole 100before breakfast, this proved harder than expected, hit 45 before having to pause then another 20 and a complete stop for 15mins before finally completing the 100. Will try again to do 100 straight in a week

Day Two

Tuesday 2nd Sep

Much more successful day in terms of timing. 20 pushups every 3-4 hours completing 100 at the end of the day.

Start

Monday 1st Sep

First of the month has started with 20 pushups. Sticking to the game plan of 5 sets of 20 throughout the day. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to stop and do my 20 wherever I might be?
