Will you support my ride this Blue September? Let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September I've set myself an epic fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.

Here's the gameplan:

I'll ride 700km in September to help inspire you to dig deep towards life saving education, research and support.  This is personal for me as my father had prostate cancer and he was treated and is still with us 9 years later and accounting. Something to be be very grateful for.

Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.

Your support helps provide research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer, along with support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to.

Donate now.

Day 30 - homerun day.

Tuesday 30th Sep

Two great indoor rides early this morning because my bike lights weren't charged over night.  Then once light I biked to work.  A good 47km added to the km's for the month.

Over the $1000.00 mark which makes me so happy.

What a stunner of a morning.

Monday 29th Sep

From Cashmere to Sumner following the river is a beaut route. Less traffic and nice following the water to sea. Another 50km under the belt brining my total to 831km biked in September. Just 1 day to go. Your help raising funds is so appreciated. Keep em coming.

Knocked off my bike by a dog today 22/09/25

Friday 26th Sep

Well this afternoons ride started so well and loved being off road on well formed tracks. I was 29kms in to what was going to be a 40km ride when a chunky Chocolate Lab ran into my front wheel, tipping me off and twisting my handlebars.  He then tried to lick me to death.  Not a bad dog, just not very well controlled.  A bit bruised and scraped and had to call for a backup ride home after not being able to man handle the handlebars back into place.  It's now booked in for a check to make sure no major damage.  Don't worry I'm back on the bike, not much will stop me from getting on a bike and I have two backups.  #ridingforacause

Epic morning ride today 26/09/25

Friday 26th Sep

Christchurch put on the mild weather with a lite wind which was perfect riding conditions.  On the roadie this morning for 53km all up by the time I stopped at home to pick up backpack and then biked to work.  I followed the river from Cashmere all the way out to Sumner and back.

This morning was a double workout

Wednesday 24th Sep

Was feeling inspired this morning, so did two rides.  Really pushing myself to reach that 700km cycled mark.  Anything is possible with the great support.  Now's your chance to dig deep and donate to a great cause.  Thanks to all who have already donated, keep the donations coming. I'd be blown away if I could reach $1000.00 xxx
