Will you support my ride this Blue September? Let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September I've set myself an epic fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.

Here's the gameplan:

I will ride my horse bareback, run and cycle as far, as long and as often as l can around (and with) work and family for 31 days aiming for 739kms.

I started 3.8.25 as unlikely to have time from mid September.

I hope to inspire you to dig deep towards lifesaving education, research and support.

Your support helps provide research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer, along with support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to.

My Updates

744 km completed today

Tuesday 26th Aug

7 days left of my 31 day challenge to do 739km running, cycling and horse riding bareback. I feel 1000 km might be too much but lets see what l can do - already achieved far more than l thought l could! Today started with 30km cycle before 7am then 2km run with sun rising (pic). After breakfast and a couple of jobs a 5km horse ride before sheep to vaccinate. This evening l did a 3km run while my son had a guitar lesson. Sun, no wind today. Still light enough at 6.45pm to just see enough to run good tracks in Thompson Bush without head light - first time this side of winter.

Looking to Colac Bay

Saturday 16th Aug

Hardest part this morning came after my 7km run with 2 dogs. As planned, got my 13yr old out of bed for cycle with me. He was not keen to leave his bed! He sailed past me within first 2km so l followed his tail light towards the beautiful half moon. On our way home we had stunning, forever changing sun rise. He took the pic from our "home on the hill"

Venison Burger fuel

Moonlit evening ride

Rode Pocket, led Goblin, Tonka ran free to Colac Bay. On way home rode Gobin, led Tonka, Pocket ran free. Sorry but too dark for my camera so far when cycling and don't carry ph when running

8.8.25 Friday

Friday 8th Aug

Wet windy morning so hibernated until 8.30am then ran to shift sheep and a few extra kms in Mores reserve making 6 wet km.Before lunch weather was calm so I cycled into the breeze to Roundhill.  Lovely sun on my back when l turned homeward so detoured through Colac Bay to Bungalow hill rd before going home to Tihaka 20.7km teturnThis evening I saw a break in the weather after more hail.  Tonka was keen for a ride along beach to Colac Bay 9.5km return.

Found my pony to ride

Friday 8th Aug

Horses not always easy to find in block of pines and Sandhills. Good shelter important as only cover when I believe ecessary

Tihaka Dawn today

Thursday 7th Aug

On cycle 5a.m. for 20.7km followed by 7km run with my 2 sheep dog's. Home for breakfast watching sunrise before 7.30a.m.

Today at Tihaka, Southland

Saturday 2nd Aug

Not ideal weather but was actually pleasant running 8km with my 2 sheep dogs bfore breakfast with virtually no rain but strong wind. Hail shower caught me out riding horses, tide was in and gravel quite soft today. Cold westerly and more rain on my hardy 3 horses Tonka, Pocket and Goblin. Only went about 2 km. Put their covers on after. Just a warm up for my epic challenge
