Will you support my ride this Blue September? Let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September, I’m taking on an epic challenge to help bring down prostate cancer — one brutal kilometre at a time.

I’ve been granted a special age exemption to ride in one of the toughest enduro events out there, Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge ENDURO.  So while I ramp up my training for this event I’m raising funds and awareness for a cause that hits close to home.

Prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in Kiwi men, and it’s taking far too many lives in our communities. Your donation supports life-saving research, early diagnosis, and vital support for those affected.

Every dollar gets us closer to change. So get behind me, support the mission, and help more men get the check-ups and care they need.

Let’s ride this one out — together.

Schools National Road Racing Champs Day 2

Monday 22nd Sep

The Halcombe 50 km road race served up tough cross-wind conditions that quickly shaped the race. In a field of 40 riders in the U17 Boys group, the peloton split into three, with the front 16 riders pushing the pace and staying clear to the finish.

I managed to hold position in that lead group, where the racing stayed fast and tactical right through to the line. The group finished within seconds of each other, and I came across in 10th place.

With an average speed of 37.5 km/h and a final time of 1.06:16, it was a solid hit-out and a good test of racing in the wind.
