DIY for Prostate Cancer

Will you support me this Blue September? Let's tackle prostate cancer together

This September I've set myself a fundraising challenge to help bring down prostate cancer and support our mates.

Here's the gameplan:

I take on 739km of running throughout the month to inspire you to dig deep towards life-saving research and support.

Let's tackle prostate cancer together. Donate now. Because prostate cancer is killing people in our community. It's the most diagnosed cancer for blokes in NZ.

Your support helps provide support for people affected by a diagnosis. Plus you'll be helping raise awareness so more blokes know to get tested when they need to, along with research into treating and diagnosing prostate cancer.

Donate now.

Not quite the perfect finale

Tuesday 30th Sep

Hi everyone, it's the last day of September and I was hoping to be out running. Instead I'm on the couch nursing an angry ankle. It's also a perfect day out there, which usually puts us Wellingtonians in a panicked FOMO mode. But sometimes these things don't quite work out, and it's always better to listen to the body when it's throwing out these kinds of warnings. I definitely procrastinated the 739km this month, it is just my style to leave 115km to the last two days. But I've fallen short, 624km total in 33 days. Thanks to all the donations, the fundraising hasn't fallen short. You guys are incredible: Mum, dad, Phoebe, Oscar, Matt, Karl, Ruby, Henry, Olivia, Anonymous, Brad, Glen, Tim, Owen, Keels, Heather, Andrew, Cassian, Millie, Cam, Ethan and Dan.

It means a hell of a lot to receive such fantastic support and I know some of you always donate to my fundraisers which is really touching. Thanks gang ❤️ I'll be back with happy tendons soon!

First week recap

Sunday 7th Sep

Thanks everyone for the generous donations! I've had a week of semi-recovery following the Naseby 200 Mile race. Due to the length of this recovery, I'm going to count the 320km from this race towards my 739km goal.

I also ran the Tip Track Marathon on Saturday, so my total distance remaining this month is 372km (17km per day). Let's get it!
