Support us this Blue September—let's tackle prostate cancer together
This September we're raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer for men in NZ. Sadly, on average, 739 men lose their life to prostate cancer in NZ every year. We want to be part of something special to help make a difference.
We invite you to take part in our fitness challenge—across September, complete 739 push ups, cycle 739 kms, or do another challenge of your choice. Raise funds from your community as you go.
Aren't quite ready for that kind of commitment? You can still show your support by donating to the Te Herenga Waka team.
We'll also hold an on-campus event where the whole University can get involved! More details to come.
All donations will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation to fund life-saving research, support for people affected by a diagnosis, and raising awareness to help encourage men to get tested when they need to.
