Poker Play Lee Nelson supports Blue September

Blue September is pleased to announce that health former GP turned poker champ, health retreat guru and prostate cancer survivor Lee Nelson has come on board as a Blue September ambassador. A retired doctor, Nelson has since won two poker championships and is also an accomplished author and has written a book on prostate cancer as well as more recently a cookbook focusing on food for wellness (The Thoughtful Food Cookbook)

Nelson is also a prostate cancer survivor, diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1997. In addition to getting checked from the appropriate age for prostate cancer, Lee’s main mission to encourage people to have the highest quality of life and wellness to prevent disease before it happens:

“As the author of the 400 + page Prostate Cancer Prevention and Cure, a retired doctor, and a prostate cancer survivor, I have a unique understanding of this disease. I also understand the need to blend usual medicine with complementary therapies, such as diet and stress reduction to optimally combat this disease” (Lee Nelson)

Lee Nelson currently resides in Nelson, Motueka where he has opened the “Split Apple Retreat”, a resort dedicated to optimal health and wellness.
