Actor & Comedian Donald Faison supports Blue September

Scrub’s actor  Donald Faison is once again putting his hand up to be laughed at – but this time to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Faison is sporting blue face paint to encourage men and their families to “face up” to prostate cancer (or “cancer in men” for other countries).

The funnyman is serious about making a difference to the amount of men who die unnecessarily from this disease every year, especially as African American men are nearly three times more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer:

"I will be affected in some way in my life by prostate cancer, whether it is me, a brother, or a friend – it is bound to happen. Everyone around the age of 40 should have a conversation with their doctor about their prostate and get it checked…" (Donald Faison)
